More Senior Celebrations

We certainly do love celebrating with these students as they embark on their final year in high school! This senior to be and her family met me at Elizabeth Park in West Hartford and I captured her gentle character through out the park. I included a family portrait at the end of session to show it’s not just the senior whose celebrating this great milestone!

Senior Fever

Schools are really stepping it up these days. I remember that my brother and I had to get our senior portraits taken during our senior year. I’m finding more and more nowadays that schools want the pictures submitted by the end of the students’ junior year!

I love shooting senior portraits because you really get to learn a lot about the subject’s personality in such a short time. This cutie met me in the Marietta Square a few weeks ago. She even brought her old headband she wore in her first ever school picture and put it on for a few pictures. Her mom joined us on the shoot, and you could see how proud she was of her little girl.senior_park

A laughing good time in the park with this cutie!

We had a great time at Wolcott Park with this little toddler! He had no problem smiling for the camera and keeping us entertained the entire session. He was very eager to show off his soccer skills and his favorite friends Bert and Ernie. I look forward to photographing this little guy again and again!

First new family in Connecticut!

This past winter we had to make the difficult decision to divide the company between Georgia and Connecticut. While there were tears shed for this move, we knew in our hearts new clients would be found for half our company going to New England. Here’s to the best first session in Connecticut! This family was full of life and smiles, and the girls showed us all around this wonderful park! We are so grateful for the continuous work in Georgia and the new found work in Connecticut.

Double Trouble from Days Past

The Marietta Square is quickly becoming my favorite location for a photo shoot. The park in the center of the square is great, but there are so many awesome alley ways and hidden areas that are great backdrops. Sometimes it’s necessary to find those hidden spots because of all the events that happen in the park.

That’s exactly what happened this day. Little did we know that morning that there would be the Farmer’s Market, and a fundraiser event. Needless to say, the area was packed! We had to depend on the secret spots for our shoot. And what a great shoot it was! I was delighted to photograph a family I knew from an old job of mine. I hadn’t seen the twins in a year and it was nice to see what sweet young ladies they’re becoming. Their parents decided to join us at the end for a few family pictures. Who can resist a funny face picture, especially with three youngsters?!

Dimensional Dancers

I was approached by the choreographer and director of Dimensional Dance to capture a dress rehearsal at the Charter Oak Cultural Center. Her two female dancers were to perform the following weekend and she wanted some promotional photos for her website to help encourage attendance. Lavinia Dealy and Chloë Knopf are truly talented performers and I hope to work with them again in the future. I know they will continue to dance and perfect their craft.

These Love Birds Love to Laugh

After 2 engagement shoots, we knew we would have a blast shooting this wedding. I have never met people who were more happy, goofy, and care-free ALL of the time. It’s wonderful when a wedding has that much joy to share throughout the entire day.

The bride and groom did a lot of work themselves to make sure their space looked picture perfect. One of our favorite touches was their cake topper – a sweet pair of love birds! They even included a photobooth with fun props and encouraged their guests to show their quirky sides, too.

Silly in love, true in love, forever in love. pt 2

We are thrilled to be photographing this loving couple’s wedding in less than month! They split up their engagement session into two days. We’ve already posted pictures from one of the days, so now we invite you to enjoy these pictures from the other session.

These pictures were taken at a little lakeside beach in Acworth, GA. This bride and groom to be definitely let out their playful side. It must have been contagious because we as photographed on a dock, a little boy run up and sat right next to them to join in on their pictures! (That picture has been included as a small image with the boy’s face blurred out to protect his identity…)
